More About Prayer Quilts
Prayer quilts are made for people who are confronting any kind of serious illness. It is our hope that each person who recieves a prayer quilt will be surrounded by God's love and comforted by our prayers on their behalf.
The quilts are made of colorful pieces of cloth. After they have been sewn together, heavy thread is stitched in the center of each square. Then the quilts are brought to church and placed where any member can help complete the process.
To finish the quilt, members tie each thick thread by hand into square knots. As each knot is tied, a prayer for healing is said for the person who will eventually receive the quilt.
